Yesterday we outlined what's at stake in this series. Well, the Braves took game one behind a great pitching performance from Max Fried and the bullpen, along with a power surge featuring back to back dingers by Austin Riley and Matt Olson against Mets' ace Jacob deGrom.
Now we are back to all tied up at the top of the NL East based on overall record. However as of now the Mets own the tiebreaker having one more win against the Braves in their head to head record (for a refresher on the tiebreakers). If the Mets can win one of the next two, they lock in the tiebreaker in the event the season ends with both teams having the same record.
The Mets look to bounce back by sending their defacto ace, Max Scherzer, to the mound in what could be the make or break game of the season. But don't write off the Braves just yet, they are countering with the league leader in Wins and the only 20 game winner in baseball, Kyle Wright. This is set up to be a terrific duel.
But who doesn't enjoy adding even more fun to the already exciting. Pick a side on our Props below and compete against friends to see who can get the most correct.
