How to Find a Great Sports Bar

Life's too short to watch a good game at a bad pub.

Ask a Local Sports Fan

Whether it's the fan in your life or someone wearing a jersey on the street, a true team follower will know where to go. Online forums like Reddit or Facebook for the team you're interested in can also be a great resource.

Look at Google Ratings

Let the stars guide you. Also, size matters: quantity of reviews is worth as much as quality on this one.

Do a Drive By

Get a feel for the bar by checking it out when you're in the neighbourhood. Chat up the bartender, ask if they're playing the game, and check out the TV setup. On that note...

Look for Big TVs that Play Game Sound

Bigger is better and there can't be too many. You're going to want to make sure you can see and hear the action from wherever you post up.

Team Gear On Display

Where there aren't TVs, the wall real estate should be full of team memorabilia: jerseys, photos, and general stuff that sports the team colours.

Fans Watching Inside

Probably the most obvious indicator, but worth pointing out that if there are folks inside glued to the screens, you'll probably have yourself a great game day.
